NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Recipients announced

Two ISIS graduate students and one undergraduate from Vanderbilt School of Engineering have been awarded the esteemed National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship for 2024. The fellowship, which supports students pursuing research-based graduate degrees in STEM fields, provides three years of financial support, including a $37,000 annual stipend and a $16,000 education allowance. Senior Associate Dean E. Duco Jansen highlighted the competitive nature of these fellowships, underscoring the excellence of the recipients and their faculty mentors. 

Congratulations to Austin Coursey, William (Alex) Richardson who were among graduate students, and Abigail Eisenklam who received the undergraduate award. 

Since its inception in 1952, the NSF program has been a significant accolade, with a legacy of awardees who have achieved high honors, including Nobel Prizes and membership in the National Academy of Sciences.
