Workshop on Future Technologies for Emergency Response and Public Safety

On Monday, June 10, researchers from Vanderbilt's Institute for Software Integration, hosted a group of Metro Nashville employees for a daylong workshop to discuss how new technologies like AI can support emergency response and public safety. Led by Meiyi Ma, assistant professor of computer science, workshop sessions addressed topics such as improving training for public safety employees, handling mental health crises, and using AI to assist first responders.
