Karsai Elected to the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
The Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) was established in November 3, 1825. It has now become the highest-level scientific body in Hungary. The scientific public body dealing with the cultivation, support and representation of the sciences and the dissemination of its results operates on the principle of self-government. HAS not only participates in the organization of domestic scientific research, but also in strengthening the international relations of Hungarian science, promotes the purity of scientific public life, guards over the recognition of intellectual work and creation, the values of science, and supports the scientific activities of young researchers.
Eminent Hungarian scholars with outstanding achievements in their fields who live in foreign countries may be elected to the HAS. External and honorary members are elected by their colleagues who are full or corresponding members of HAS.
Distinguished Professor Gabor Karsai, was been elected an External Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Engineering Sciences Section. He delivered an induction lecture on April 28, 2023.
