Research Associate Professor of Computer Science
Dr. Himanshu Neema is a Research Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Neema is the creator of Cyber-Physical Systems Wind Tunnel (CPSWT) – a model-based simulation integration and experimentation framework, and Cybersecurity Evaluation Framework for Industrial Control Systems (CEF-ICS). Both CPSWT and CEF-ICS have been successfully transitioned to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He is currently the PI on a NIST sponsored project for developing evaluation platforms for networked critical infrastructures and a PI on JHU/APL sponsored project for designing scalable CPS simulations for Reinforcement Learning based development of cyber agents. Dr. Neema researches in model-based design of CPS, CPS co-simulations with hardware and humans, design automation, machine learning, cybersecurity, and smart grids. He has received MS and PhD in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University. He has 24 years of research and development experience and has co-authored more than 80 publications.
